Adobe Acrobat Distiller - creating PDFs for press output

Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader

Pagefast Acrobat Distiller Settings for creating Press Optimised PDFs*

Acrobat Distiller is part of the full version of Adobe Acrobat.
This must be used to create PDFs for either print or screen (web) use.

Acrobat PDF files are widely used in the printing industry as they provide a cross-platform means of high resolution printing from a variety of software programs.

As long as you can produce (usually “Print”) a Postscript (.ps) file from within your software, Acrobat Distiller can produce a PDF which we can then use to print your job at high resolution.

Click the arrows to follow the steps necessary to set up Acrobat Distiller to produce high resolution PDFs using Pagefast’s own settings which are optimised for our own film output. (Version 5 settings are displayed, however all versions have similar settings)
